William Garcia currently serves as the Chair of the 3rd CD Democrats of Wisconsin, Co-Chair of the La Crosse County Democratic Party and Secretary/Treasurer of the DPW Latino Caucus. He served as a Wisconsin delegate to the 2024 DNC and is a Heathcare Storyteller for the Center for American Progress. He hosts The La Crosse County Democratic Party’s Democratic Voice podcast, airing since 2021.

William holds a Masters degree in English Literature from Middlebury College and a Bachelors in Radio-TV-Film from the University of Texas at Austin. William taught high school English for 17 years before transitioning to higher education. He works as an Instructor at Western Technical College. William is a proud member of AFT Local 3605. and strongly believes that every worker deserves the right to unionize.

William is lucky enough to be married to the greatest person on earth, and he is enormously proud of his adult children making their way in the world. When he is not volunteering with the Wisconsin Democrats, he can be found directing or performing at the La Crosse Community Theatre.
